FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Need to Know

DO YOU OFFER A TRIAL MEMBERSHIP?

Sign up for the Introduction Special package! Enjoy three weeks of unlimited access to all EKC classes except for classes labeled as "Advanced", allowing you to explore and experience everything we have to offer. Dive into our diverse range of classes and discover your new passions today! We highly recommend new members take one or more small group (1 to 5 participants) Kettlebell 101 classes before attending any larger group (up to 15 participants) kettlebell classes. Participation in "Advanced" classes (Bells & Bars, Powerbells, & Open Gym) before the end of the Introduction Special may be negotiated and cleared by gym owners Felecia Wineman or Eloise Hoatlin.

DO YOU OFFER GUEST PASSES?

Guests and folks visiting Central Eastside Portland are welcome to use a drop-in pass to attend classes. However, guests and visitors are encouraged to take  Kettlebell 101 before participation in the larger group kettlebell classes. The prerequisite may be waived if EKC is emailed in advance and the visitor/guest can provide proof that they are already proficient at the kettlebell swing.

I'm a new member. Which class should I take first?

It depends. If you are super new to kettlebells and group fitness you may want to take a few KB 101 classes. Kettlebell 101 takes time to break down and practice the swing, clean, press, deadlift, squat, and getup movement patterns. Otherwise feel free to take any class! EKC Instructors will provide extra demos, individualized attention as needed, and space to practice new skills within the group class setting.
