Service Description

Learn self-myofascial release (SMR) techniques while addressing sore muscles and easing fascial tension in the body. In this 1-hr class you'll learn the principles of self-myofascial release (a form of self-massage) and ways to use a variety of SMR tools, with plenty of time for Q&A and troubleshooting in your specific body. Come with requests for specific muscles, joints, or areas of discomfort to focus on—or come and learn how to target common pesky problem areas that show up for athletes in the gym. Kat Kocurek (she/her) is a Certified Rolfer®, yoga teacher, and movement instructor helping people get out of pain, improve alignment, increase the quality and efficiency of their movement, and find more ease and balance in their embodied experience. She offers private sessions out of her clinic in SE Portland, and teaches public yoga classes around the greater Portland area.
